Google Trusted Stores

Overview

Google Trusted Stores is a free certification program to highlight that you offer a consistently great shopping experience. Once qualified, your store will be recognized with a badge that is displayed on your site and on Google Shopping. Your customers will be offered free purchase protection by Google after making a purchase on your site.

Google Trusted Stores program helps you bring more customers to your store and improve sales. The Trusted Stores badge placed on the pages of your site gives your customers confidence while they shop.

The “Google Trusted Stores” add-on integrates your store with Google Trusted Stores. With the add-on, you don’t need to add snippets of code to your site. Also, you can specify a custom position of the Google Trusted Stores badge.

Setting up the add-on

The add-on has the following settings available:

  • Google store ID—register an account at Google Trusted Stores to get this ID
  • Badge position—location of the badge on the web page. Two options are available: Bottom right or Bottom left.
  • Google Shopping ID—product identificator that you submit to Google shopping through Google Merchant Center. You can submit Product ID or Product Code. If you don’t submit feeds for Google Shopping, select None.
  • Google Shopping Account ID—account ID from Google Merchant Center. This value should match the account ID you use to submit your product data feed to Google Shopping through Google Merchant Center.
  • Enable Google confirmation pop-up—if selected, a Google confirmation pop-up window will be displayed at checkout after an order is placed. HTTPS connection should be configured on your server.

Extra settings for the shipping method

The add-on adds two new settings for the shipping method. You need to specify the estimated shipping time and delivery time. These values will be sent to Google Trusted Stores.

You can manage these settings by navigating to Administration - Shipping and taxes - Shipping methods.

  • Estimated shipping time—The estimated time in days within which the order will be shipped.
  • Estimated delivery time—The estimated time in days within which the order is expected to be delivered to the customer.
